Ending homelessness

Every night, we provide a safe place to live for people in Swindon who otherwise would be homeless

Homelessness doesn’t discriminate

With rents rising, living costs soaring and a lack of affordable, decent homes, thousands of people in Swindon are now vulnerable to becoming homeless. But with the right support at the right time, people can overcome homelessness and work towards a positive future.

What we do

Threshold’s mission is to end homelessness for people in Swindon by providing a safe place to live, personalised support and a pathway to independence. We work with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and circumstances to help them escape the cycle of homelessness.

Meet Jacob

Jacob could be any one of us… our friend, our colleague, family member or child.

Jacob’s story, based on the true experiences of a former Threshold resident, reveals the devastating impact of homelessness on people in our town. His journey at Threshold shows how consistent, non-judgemental support gives people the strength and opportunity to change their lives.

Christmas appeal - please help

Christmas is an extremely difficult time for people who have been trapped in the homelessness cycle. Having somewhere warm and safe to stay is the most important wish for people who are homeless at Christmas, but a quarter do not even know where they will spend this Christmas day.

Please donate to our appeal to help provide a safe home for the night and a second chance for a future. The first £1,150 of donations to our Christmas appeal will be doubled by our wonderful local supporters The National Self Build and Renovation Centre and Cog Security Ltd.
